Brick Volumes from Quad Areas
Learn how to generate three-dimensional brick volumes from SOFiPLUS quad areas using SOFiMSH-A extrusion commands. You create master areas, assign group numbers, extrude quads into brick elements, copy master planes for successive extrusion steps, and define different materials such as concrete and steel.
The workflow demonstrates how to automate model generation using SOFiMSH-C and TEDDY, thereby avoiding repeated manual exports. You then perform a structural analysis, apply loads, review deformations and stresses, and evaluate volume results using Interactive Graphics and brick cuts.
